Follow-Up Network Meetings: Save These Dates!

These meetings allow participants to continue to Network • Share • Learn as we implement/grow the Standards for Mathematical Practice in classrooms. These meetings are a blend of in-person and virtual (Zoom) meeting experience allowing all participants to benefit from a larger network of educators and meet in a convenient location. These network meetings will be held simultaneously in six locations, three in San Bernardino county and three in Riverside county.
The Riverside San Bernardino Counties Mathematics Teachers' Association, an affiliate of the California Mathematics Council, is sponsoring a powerful and practical one-day professional development and networking opportunity for teachers of mathematics at all grade levels.

Breakout Sessions
Choice of two seventy-five minute practical sessions.
Breakout Sessions will be designed for teachers of grades:  TK-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12

Lunch and Network
Lunch is included. Network with local colleagues.

Closing Session


Conference Goals
1) Support teachers of TK-12 mathematics as they implement the Standards for Mathematicl Practice while addressing grade-level content standards.
2) Establish local support networks via social media connections and/or face-to-face meetings as an on-going vehicle to share ideas and resources.
3) Provide high-quality, low-cost professional development opportunities for TK-12 teachers of mathematics.

 

Conference Details

Speakers:
Consider submitting a proposal to speak at one of the two breakout sessions. Proposals are due July 15, 2018.

Cost:
• $40.00 for non-members of RSBCMTA
* $30.00 for current members of RSBCMTA
• $30.00 if you attended Fall For Math 2017 or the January 2018 Follow-Up Meeting
• $100.00 for a team of four persons who work together

Location: 
Jack Brown Hall, located on the California State University at San Bernardino (CSUSB) campus.


Membership:
Membership in the Riverside San Bernardino Counties Mathematics Teachers' Association (RSBCMTA) is $10.00 for one year and $18.00 for two years.

Payment Method:
Purchase Orders: Please contact Karen Sharkey, RSBCMTA Treasurer, at stargate1946@gmail.com. The cost is $40.00 for all attendees with payment by Purchase Order (or $100 for Teams of Four people)
Check: Payable to RSBCMTA and mailed to Karen Sharkey to secure your registration.
Credit Card,: Pay online.
     

Refund and Cancellation Policy
No refunds after September 10, 2018. No refunds for no­-show participants. No refunds for Team registrations. All cancellations must be made in writing (or email rsbcmtamath@gmail.com) before the deadline date.
